We have officially been through a blizzard at New York
Fashion Week, a design techniques at London Fashion week, and at the start of
Milan Fashion Week it appears we are prepared for both. The designers at Milan
Fashion Week have decidedly, thus far, shown us their talents with furs. And
boy do we love them… Well at least I do. It’s an art, not a crime scene.
Further more its Milan, Italy, would you expect any less? Considering the
Snowpocalypse is upon us here in the Midwest, a few of these beauts may be
needed to keep us warm.
A drum roll please….
From the Fall 2013 line, this Angelo Marani fur is one of
the many master pieces to be showcased tonight. The gracefulness of the blue
flowing down the front only makes this more of a piece of art.
Another Angelo Marani fur, doesn’t this make you feel that
much more patriotic? Red, white, and blue. Nothing says “‘Merica” more than a
fur walked down a Milan runway, right?
I’m going to throw a math equation at you, give me your best
answer… Primary colors plus fur equals? This Chicca Lualdi Fall 2013 jacket.
Honestly this could be worn as a top, I probably would wear it like that.
First of all, can we take a moment to praise For.Me Elena Mirò. This brand is centered around curvy
women and was featured in Milan Fashion Week. I believe the selections for
women with more curves than a stick are very limited, but to see a chic line
for these fabulous women is a proud moment! Plus this fur leather jacket is
beyond, lets be honest.
“No white after Labor Day” is a thing of the past. Winter
whites are here and staying. Fur lapels? Yes ma’am. Francesco Scognamiglio Fall
2013 has me dreaming of snow covered hills and staying away from any colored
liquids.
Lady Gaga has done it numerous times, now for us to see a
hair ensemble worn by someone else. Gucci walked plenty of brights and blacks
on the runway this Milan Fashion Week, but this look is a complete surprise!
If only I had my fur covered bomb shelter. This World War II
replica helmet, my apologies from Mila Schön this fur colored cap is totally understandable… right?
Other than looking like the Michelin Man’s distant cousin
this Simonetta Ravizza contrast of textures ensemble is brilliant. I truly
believe the combination of leather and fur can go one of two ways, way too
harsh or extremely chic. This is extremely chic.
Listen folks, you can wear fur without looking… or being
told… you are a complete beast.
