Let’s be honest, anyone in their right mind is excited to
see the Great Gatsby. Whether you are a high school sophomore, or just a fan of
F. Scott, this is the year to prepare for the Roaring Twenties. I predict a
huge rise of 20’s, Prohibition era style. With Boardwalk Empire coming back
soon, and now the upcoming nation-wide release of The Great Gatsby everyone
should be preparing for this trend.
I’ve recently cut my do to a short coif and now feel even
more fitting to the decade. I mean come on, Carey Mulligan playing the one and
only Daisy Buchanan, sporting this fabulous do paired with “Deco-Digs,” this is
bound to be a show stopper.
I know for a fact that flapper inspired dress has been in
and out of stores for quite some time, hell my sister even tried it once…
It’s a fair argument that she pulled this off quite well….
Had she only added a few varying lengths of pearls and diamonds she would have
hit this nail right on the head.
But for everyone’s sake I dare you to try this trend. It
really is something that should stick for the Spring/Summer seasons.
This Pleated Sashes Spaghetti Strap Mermaid Dress found
on She Inside can take anyone from new millennium to roaring twenties by the color alone.
From Lipsy,
this dress is a modern version of the flapper dress.
This Malene Birger embellished crepe dress is almost a replica
of a 20’s flapper, simple with feather embellishments. Found easily at Net-a-Porter.
Now for head pieces.

So for now my friends I leave you with this, "It makes me sad
because I've never seen such - such beautiful shirts before."
