Grab your sunglasses, prepare your pupils, and
get out of the Dark Ages… Its about to get really colorful up in here. I
believe the only other time you will see this much color would be at a Mexican
Day of the Dead festival. Perhaps not.
But anyway, I realize its now the beginning of
fall and all you lazy bones are wanting to do is wear some black, sip on your
Starbucks lattes, and cuddle up in bed. Well too bad so sad, the times are
a-changin’ and I’m ready to throw you into a rainbow bucket of fashion. Are you
ready? Here we go in 3…2…1….
What better way that opening with the Queen of
Color herself, Betsey Johnson? Doesn’t this model just look welcoming? You want
to run into her convivial arms and celebrate the season? I know I do! From the
Spring 2013 Ready to Wear runway.
Native American prints, neon colors, and sheer
fabric, they almost go hand in hand…in hand. I wonder if I wore these
if they would be dragging, considering the mile long legs wearing these britches make them appear as high waters. I have tree stumps as legs. Nevertheless doesn't hurt to try, right?
From Tsumori Chisato’s Spring 2013 Ready to Wear runway.
Oh DVF, your model looks like a watermelon, how cute. I quite frankly would pair this outfit with some
kick ass combat boots to transform into a fall outfit. That’s most likely not
what Diane was thinking of at the time, but who said softs and hards can’t go
together? Not me, that’s for sure.
I had to recognize the street style of this
season’s fashion week. Here Leaf Greener, Senior Fashion Editor of Elle China, wears a Yang Du creation. So cute, so lovable.
Even the men know how to represent color, how
handsome! Ivan Olita, Editor of L’Officiel Italia looking sharp in his mustard
suit.
Want to create these looks for “not-so-runway”
prices? I’ve got what you need!
Throw a teal skinny belt around that natural
waste and a leather jacket and you’re one colorful lady ready for fall. The Anna Marie Lace Dress from Tobi.
Its October, Breat Cancer Awareness Month and
what better way to show your support than this Live in Pink Peplum Dress available
at Loft.
Cut to make you feel like you have the body of a
Kardashian (perhaps without Kanye hanging at your side) this Mustard V Neck
Ribbed Dress from Dorothy Perkins combines the tackiness of those pop culture
“stars” with the color genius of one of the season’s best colors… Mustard!
Peace you colorful fall starlets. Remember, “loving
would be easy if your colors were like my dreams…”
