It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s the Return of the Cape!

Superman’s cape most definitely helped him fly, and lets admit if he were human rather than cartoon he would be a total stud. I mean come on those tights, those muscleS, what more could a gal want?? But unfortunately today I’m not talking about that retro-Gorilla Guido. I’m talking about the fall lightweight cape. A perfect add on to a day outfit or a night on the town.

Look at the read cape flowing in the wind. BEAUTIFUL.

Now these may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you could always drink tea whilst wearing them!

Too much? I agree, couture is B-E-A-utiful, but may not be your typical everyday get-up. Try these!

(Mina Velvet Cape available on Asos)

(Chain Drape Cape Necklace available on Topshop)

While these are extremely creative and maybe scary to think about wearing especially when its not Halloween, just remember if you’re a female… I think many of you are, a cape can give you total GIRL POWER!

Leather, Leather, Everywhere

Lets be honest, if it wasn’t so eco-unfriendly or anti-PETA, leather would be the ultimate fall/winter trend. It’s so delicate and beautiful and if you can find leather that feels butter, you would probably sleep in it. Hell I’m sure Lady Gaga does. Its so hard to defend this matter because plenty o’ people not in the fashion industry or fashionable like us will think we are going all Techno-Goth. That may be true among couture runway shows or editorials but everyday wear can be down played so you don’t look like a crazy walking the streets of Ruralville, USA.

Yes I realize this is very vamp-chic, and you all are probably looking at this like I am crazy, but this is easy to make into something everyone can wear! If you have the money for a pair of leather pants, or a leather dress then hey, here are some great places to check out!

If you're a broke college student like myself but wanting to keep up with today's trends check out these fabulous finds!

Now you have to remember to take care of leather and even faux leather, you really don’t want it to turn out like this…

Hungry Like the Wolf

I’m not writing this for the reason that I am literally hungry, and very possibly as hungry as a wolf can be. But also because of this shirt:

Yep there I am, looking fancy shmancy. Whilst on a family trip to Canaydia, or how many normal o’folks would say Canada, I found this irresistibly adorable sweater. Now this was in the racks with other animal face sweater but I felt a connection to this because of a certain AH-MAZING show called Game of Thrones. Heard of it? Well there are wolves in it. I can relate, if there had been a dragon sweater for sale though I totally would have purchased that instead because of my undying love of House Targaryen. Too far? Sorry. Back on subject.

I started thinking about this trend I was seeing. Animal faces. Über cute and clearly hip, I vowed to take part in this craze. And so I did. I bought it. Don’t judge. You can hate, I mean haters gonna hate. But no judgment face. Ps, if you are hating on this awesome look or just the fact I am apart of it, you’re probably just a HUGE jelly bean (jealous that is).

(avoid this face if at all possible)

So I researched more and more into this. I’m plenty of people will think this look is very Rachel Berry, cutesy sweater with animal decal, but no this can and will be très chic! And now to the examples!

Peace out Rachel Berry style folks.
